People may have forgot that Vincent Quatrone is a
former trustee of the Lodi Board of Education.
His brother is the Superintendent of Lodi Schools.
You may read about runaway payouts in other
towns. Lodi has them beat.
Lodi is paying more because of school politics. Most of the mayor and council are either
employed by the Lodi BOE or have immediate relatives employed by the BOE.
Lodi Police Chiefs are in a position to take care of the
mayor and council through the BOE. The Lodi mayor and council are awarding them
lottery-like payouts in return. It's easy spending other people's money.
When Caruso retired, Marc Schrieks said nothing was
off the table for the mayor and council and there would be reforms. Scorzetti’s and Quatrone’s new contracts were
approved after that statement. There were no
reforms. Their contracts included everything
Caruso received and more.
