If you read the article, Quatrone’s payout was
$283,000 + $109,709 (last 2 years) = at least $392,709. That is twice the amount of Oakland’s payout.
Everyone keeps asking: why are retiring Lodi Chiefs
receiving “severance” pay for “retirements”.
There is no mention of this handout in their contracts.
The Lodi mayor and council are directly responsible
for this financial burden placed upon the Lodi taxpayers. Each town negotiates its own contracts. Each town chooses whether or not to follow
the State’s recommended best practices.
