Lodi BOE Gave Failed Superintendent Doug Petty a $27,000 Raise Tonight (Bypassing Required 30 Day Public Notice and Hearing for Replacing an UNEXPIRED Contract)..

Most of the board is new and has no idea about about what is going on with Petty or the district. They don't understand budgets or property taxes. They don't understand that there will not always be millions more in additional state aid to bail them out.

Lodi's current BOE members never even read a detailed budget.  Yet their top priority and first action is to give Petty a $27,000 raise, rewarding failure. Remember the board member names that voted Yes tonight when you open your next tax bills. They would never spend their own money the way they spend yours. They have no shame.

Board Trustee Paula Cortez was the only No vote.

Lagana's Lackey, Joseph Garcia, Continues to Prove He is Not a Real School Attorney.

Joseph Garcia continues to engage in politics while disregarding the law. He continues to show why he is unemployable without Joe Lagana’s senate office. He is an arrogant politician,  not a real school attorney. The BOE should hire a real school attorney when using Lodi tax dollars. The Lodi BOE should hire a better political consultant/spokesperson with their campaign bribes. Why are board members having Dennis Frohnapfel and Joe Garcia speaking for them on  matters that don't involve the business office or the law? All politics, not education. All politics, not law.

Dominic Miller (Reprimanded Twice by the State for Ethics Violations) Was Hiding Public Records and Misappropriating Public Funds. So the Lodi Mayor and Council Made Dominic Miller the Custodian of Public Records for the Lodi Police Department. Makes Sense.

Donald Scorzetti and the Lodi mayor and council wanted someone who hides public records to be the custodian of public records.  Donald Scorzetti and the Lodi mayor and council also have Donald Scorzetti's daughters working in the records department.  Members of the public should not expect to receive public records in which they are entitled nor to be treated fairly in any pursuit.

Nunc Pro Tunc. The Backwards Mayor and Council Approved a Resolution for Mollinelli a Whole Year Late. He Already Conducted the Hearing and Was Paid Before this Resolution Appointing Him Was Approved.

The Lodi Board of Education Received At Least $4,277,176 in “Covid Relief” Money. And the Lodi Board of Education Still Raised Taxes.

The covid relief money was used for annually anticipated and normal budget expenditures:  technology purchases and upgrades, security upgrades, instructional materials and professional training, capital projects, out of district tuition, etc.  Link to influx of covid relief money that went to the Lodi Board of Education:

Lodi residents need to be asking why Lodi school taxes were raised during the past 2 years with so much state aid and covid relief money pouring into the district.

Doug Petty, Dennis Frohnapfel, and the board members that didn’t bother to read any budgets are using additional aid for normal expenses while using your tax dollars to pad the pockets of the Superintendent, BA, and relatives of school board members.  All while operating with no transparency.
