Lodi’s Reputation Was Badly Tarnished With Stories Like These in 2001 (Posted Below). Vinny Martin Was a Lodi Police Officer at the Time. It’s Concerning that He Would Later Become Part of these Types of Businesses as Lodi Deputy Mayor. There is Nothing Honorable in Prostitution/Drug Businesses. They Destroy Lives and Communities.

There were bad characters all the way around in these stories.  But one line stands out: “For years, the brick warehouse on the southern end of Lodi was rumored to be a brothel, protected by the FBI or the mob, depending on who was making the charges. Yet local officials never seemed able to close the place.

Nobody should be protecting the criminal behavior especially government agencies.  Luke Hoffman was a degenerate criminal being protected by the FBI.  Look at how long it took to shut him down.

Did anyone on the Lodi council help this person get into the Lodi Housing Authority?

Shady Bunch: Councilman Vin Martin must have been waiting in the wings to assist shuttered strip joints (Post Date: April 22, 2019)…

On December 7, 2017, the Office of the Attorney General ordered that all live entertainment cease at the two strip joints by December 17, 2017.  The OAG also ordered that the liquor licenses be sold or transferred to a bona fide third party by January 3, 2018.

Click on the link below to read more from the Office of the Attorney General:

Nj.com reported that the liquor license for Satin Dolls was sold in December 2017 to Joseph Pallonetti of Parkland, Florida.

On December 29, 2017, northjersey.com reported that Lodi Councilman Vincent Martin partnered with Pallonetti for ownership of the Secaucus strip joint:

Think about this timeline.  The OAG order is dated December 7, 2017.  By December 29, 2017, newspapers were already reporting that a Lodi councilman would be part of the new ownership.

Was Vinny Martin just waiting in the wings to assist the shuttered strip joints?  Does Vinny Martin have a plausible explanation for even knowing his business partner from Parkland, Florida?

The order stated that the OAG received information from the Lodi Police Department.  As a Lodi councilman, Vinny Martin has influence over the Lodi police department.  Months after partnering with the owner of Satin Dolls, Vinny Martin voted to appoint his close personal friend Donald Scorzetti as Lodi’s new police chief.

In mid-December 2017, news outlets questioned the futures of the two strip joints.  On March 26, 2018, northjersey.com reported that Satin Dolls was back in business.

Vincent Caruso who happens to be one of Vinny Martin’s best friends was quoted in the article:

“Borough Manager Vincent Caruso, meanwhile, said he had been unaware of the club's reopening until last week.

"Everything was done by the Alcoholic Beverage Control at the state level," Caruso said. "We had nothing to do with the investigation or the transfer of the [liquor] license."”

Do the wheels of the ABC spin a little faster for Lodi Councilmembers/former law enforcement?

Vinny Martin's Business "Partners" Are Receiving Favorable Actions from the Lodi Mayor and Council. Joe Leto isn't Abstaining on Matters Involving His Relatives.

Now Lodi Knows Why Deputy Mayor Vinny Martin, Councilman Joe Leto, and the Rest of Foolish Pride Voted to Undo Lodi’s Ban on Marijuana Business In This Two Square Mile Town….

The owner of the marijuana building is Vinny Martin’s business associate and Joe Leto’s cousin.

In 2018, the Lodi Mayor and Council approved an ordinance barring marijuana business from Lodi.  They played it up big time like they were protecting the community.  They even got a positive story from the Record newspaper.

June 25, 2018 (Ordinance 2018-16):

Not too long after, the Lodi Mayor and Council reversed that ordinance.  They couldn’t have done it any quieter.  Many wondered why the change of heart in such a short time.  Nobody from the mayor and council commented or explained their flip-flop.

October 26, 2020 (Ordinance 2020-21):

Now Lodi knows why its mayor and council did a complete flip-flop in a two-year period.  The owner of 200 Route 17 South (marijuana building) is a business associate of Vinny Martin and a cousin of Joe Leto.  The timing and ordinance wording show that it was for a specific individual and location.

Bad special interests control Lodi.  Instead of attacking the messenger and calling people cowards that expose corruption, Vinny Martin should operate in a more transparent matter, disclose his conflicts of interest, and resign from the Lodi council.  Because of his horrendous background and current sources of income, he is unfit to be meddling in the Lodi Police Department.  He should not be in a position to target certain officers just so he can replace them with his puppets (in the mold of Donald Scorzetti) that will turn a blind eye to his shady business transactions.

Residents of Lodi Can't Afford Their Own Gas. So Why Are Lodi Taxpayers Paying for Donald Scorzetti's Gas Guzzling Tahoe, Unlimited Gas for His Own Personal Use (and for the Personal Use of His Family and Friends), and for His Constant Trips to His Shore House? (Post Date: August 19, 2022)

Lodi taxpayers pay for this Tahoe and its gas for Donald Scorzetti's personal use at the shore.

Below is Donald Scorzetti's current salary guide ($228,276.40 for this year). Lodi taxpayers pay that salary. It's such an abuse to have the Lodi taxpayers paying for his gas guzzling SUV and all costs associated with it when he is using it for non work related trips to his shore house and everywhere else.

Today was Friday, August 19th. Was Scorzetti using a vacation day? Sick day? Personal day? Of course not. Nobody records Scorzetti's work days. At retirement, Scorzetti will receive hundreds of thousands of dollars for unused sick days, vacation days, etc. The Lodi Mayor and Council will certify that he never took one day off during his entire career.

Donald Scorzetti's GPS would show you who the real thieves are in Lodi. And the biggest hypocrites.

Behind the Public’s Back and Omitted From All May Agendas, the Lodi Mayor and Council Voted Unanimously to Give Donald Scorzetti 4% ANNUAL RAISES (Leading to a $246,903.74 Salary). Post Date: June 6, 2021

When the hardworking Lodi taxpayers open their next tax bill, I hope they think of Donald Scorzetti’s annual salary, his 4% raises, and all the other perks and benefits he receives at their expense.  And then they can thank Vincent Caruso, Scott Luna, Vincent Martin, Joe Leto, Albert DiChiara, and Emil Carafa when they can no longer afford to live in Lodi.

After serving on the Lodi Board of Education with Donald Scorzetti, I saw firsthand how Donald Scorzetti is a person of very poor character. He acted in the most corrupt and dishonest manner to benefit himself, his girlfriend, and other family and friends.  He is the greediest person you could meet.  He is ignorant and vulgar.  Donald Scorzetti is unfit to be police chief and in no way is deserving of this salary.

Fund the police.  Defund Donald Scorzetti.

I sent the following email to the “personnel committee” immediately following our January 22nd meeting. (Post Date: April 6, 2018)

At our personnel meeting, I asked Mr. Quatrone why the HS Secretary position wasn’t posted on the district website or in the Record newspaper like the other positions being filled that week.  I expressed concern that the position wasn’t advertised and that there were only 6 resumes.

As I left the meeting, I made a phone call.  I told the person that I while I speaking to Frank Quatrone, his face turned beet red as he handed me the name of the person he recommended for HS Secretary.  I never heard the name before but I could tell something was going on.  The person replied: that’s Donald Scorzetti’s girlfriend.  I said, “You have to be kidding me”.

I submitted the email above.  As a Board member, I wanted a fair and open process.  The public deserved it.  The applicants deserved it.

Frank Quatrone, his six members, and their attorney are claiming that I was “trying to administer our schools” by advocating for fair hiring practices.
