NOTICE NOTlCE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following proposed ordinance was introduced and passed on first reading at a meeting of the Borough Council of the Borough of Lodi, the County of Bergen, State of New Jersey, held on the 17'" day of April, 2018, and that said ordinance will be taken up for further consideration for final passage at the meeting of said Borough Council to be held at its meeting room in the Borough Hall, in Lodi, N.J., on the 15"' day of May, 2018, at 7 P.M., or as soon thereafter as said matter can be reached, at which time and place all persons who may be interested therein will be given the opportunity to be heard concerning the same. A copy of this ordinance has been posted on the bulletin board upon which public notices are customarily posted in the Borough Hall of the Borough and a copy is available up to and including the time of such meeting to the members of the general public of the Borough who shall request such copies, at the office of the Borough Clerk in said Borough Hall in Lodi, New Jersey. D'Amico, R.M.C., Borough Clerk, Borough of Lodi County of Bergen, State of New Jersey ORDINANCE # 2018-13 BOROUGH OF LODI COUNTY OF BERGEN STATE OF NEW JERSEY AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE SEVERAL POLICE AND PERSONNEL ORDINANCES OF THE BOROUGH OF LODI AND AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 192-5, 193-24, 505-16 AND 2016-01 SO AS TO AMEND THE TABLE OF ORGANIZATION OF THE LODI POLICE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, Borough of Lodi ls desirous of amending the Table of Organization of the Lodi Police Department; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE lT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Lodi as follows: Article 1 , Section 1 of Ordinance No. 192-5, 193-24, 505-16 and 2016-01 are hereby repealed and replaced as follows: A. The position of Chief of Police is hereby established; B. The position of Deputy Chief of Police is hereby established; C. The number of Captains of Police is hereby established to be not more than two (2); D. The number of Lieutenants of Police is hereby established to be not more than seven (7); E. The number of Sergeants of Police is hereby established to be not more than twelve (12); Article 2 The organizational chart and organizational table of the Police Department of the Borough of Lodi are hereby amended to reflect the provisions and matters contained herein. Article 3 The Police Department of the Borough of Lodi as heretofore constituted and empowered pursuant to law, is continued without modification, except as to the provisions set forth in this Ordinance, which said provisions shall supersede the existing regulations and/or ordinances pertaining thereto. Article 4 In the event any section, part or provision of this Ordinance shall be held unconstitutional or otherwise invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such determination shall not affect the validity of this Ordinance or the remaining provisions which shall remain in full force and effect. Article 5 All other provisions of Ordinances of the Borough of Lodi, to the extent same are not inconsistent with this Ordinance or the Municipal Manager form of government law, shall remain in full force and effect except as modified herein. 4 Article 6 All ordinances or parts thereof which are inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. Article 7 This Ordinance shall take effect ten (10) days after adoption and publication in the manner prescribed by law.
