The following line appeared on northjersey.com on
October 24, 2015:
“The
man's identity has not been released and charges are pending, Lodi Deputy Chief Donald Scorzetti said.”
Scorzetti’s linkedin page and the Record article place
the time of Scorzetti’s elevation to Deputy Chief to be around October 2015.
There is no record of this action on any minutes for
2015. An appointment to Deputy Chief
would be an action that must take place in open session.
Alan Spiniello was Lodi’s Borough Attorney in October
2015. Yet this is what he recently listed on a
public notice:
Deputy
Chief of Police Donald Scorzetti ("Scorzetti") has been serving as
Deputy Chief of Police of the Borough of Lodi since
January 1, 2017.
