Payroll from a few years ago showed Anna Belli listed
as the only year round employee in the Recreation Department. Of course there were a long list of seasonal
employees (Summer Camp, etc.)
Today, there are three employees listed year round for
the Rec Department.
From the two week payroll posted above, these are the
base salaries (there are additional payments throughout the year):
Garrett Luna- $50,000
Anna Belli- $114,122
Lori Greco- $21,516
Lodi has really high property taxes. A new patronage position should not have been
created for a “PRIDE” candidate’s son.
It is completely unnecessary. Being the position was not posted and the borough could not provide a job description, it's more than clear that this was a political favor to Scott Luna who is the rumored running mate of Mayor Emil Carafa, Councilman Albert DiChiara, and Councilman Vincent Martin.
Lodi can’t afford these unnecessary patronage
positions. The Lodi mayor and council
are borrowing millions each year to pay for basic expenses.
Newspapers are holding Governor Murphy’s administration
to account for its unfair hiring practices based on nepotism and political
patronage. Who is holding the Lodi mayor
and council to account?
Side note: Garrett Luna is still receiving overtime and double-time pay from the "Streets and Roads" department even though is no longer part of that unit. With Garrett Luna's new title as "Recreational Lead", Caruso placed placed him with the White Collar Department Heads and Supervisors.
