PRIDE Behavior:
Constant self-praise. Embellished resumes. Taking credit for others’ work.
Refusing to answer to
residents. Refusing to follow laws.
No shame in placing
generations of relatives on the public payroll.
Only serving wealthy
special interests (Main Street developer, big campaign contributors, etc.)
Reject PRIDE Elitism:
Because their “ancestors
came to Lodi more than a 100 years” does not make them better than anyone else.
Because their father,
uncle, or anyone else was a mayor does not entitle them to a council seat.
Because they spent
decades in the “political realm” does not entitle their children to newly
created, high paying town jobs.
Merit, Not Last Names:
Town jobs should be based
on merit, not last names.
Council seats should be
based on merit, not last names.
Real people don't want dynasties spanning over 100 years. That's why neither Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton are president right now.
