Lodi residents read the Record article today about Councilman Vincent Martin and his new business venture. Not surprising, most are reaching the same conclusion. The councilman’s conflict is blatant. The actions of our elected officials are unethical. Residents are tired of Lodi politicians using public office for personal financial gain. They are tired of elected officials only taking care of campaign contributors and big money special interests. The comment below which was posted on northjersey.com echoed what I heard all day:
The unsavory characters (many on the public payroll) lining up to defend the
councilman’s bad behavior are only embarrassing themselves. They are on the wrong side of the debate.
