Waiting until the deadline to discuss all that additional state aid…

After being in possession of the revised state aid for weeks, Board members finally received something today:

“I am in receipt of a revised state aid notice for the Lodi school district, which includes an increase in state aid of $1,773,496 for the 2018-2019 school budget.

In accordance with the State of New Jersey Department of Education Guidance on 2018-2019 Revised State Aid, the Lodi Board of Education may choose, by board resolution dated no later than August 1, 2018, to use the increased funding during 2018-2019 to:

·         Provide tax relief; and/or

·         Increase the 2018-2019 general fund appropriations during the budget year; and/or

·         Designate for use in 2019-2020.

I have included a discussion on this topic on the agenda for the Board's Special Meeting on Tuesday July 31, 2018.”

So a board resolution must be dated no later than August 1st and the Board is discussing it for the very first time on July 31st?

They are always scheming to benefit themselves and always working against the taxpayers of Lodi.

I am sure Capizzi and Quatrone are already prepping the members with the worst conflicts of interest on how to handle the discussion (purposely mislead the public).  Just like last year.
