The Lodi Board of Ed has the worst conflicts of interest in New Jersey…

With all the school districts in New Jersey, only Lodi appeared on the May 22, 2018 meeting minutes of the School Ethics commission for its use (abuse) of “doctrine of necessity”.  Lodi submitted a whopping 3 doctrines of necessity for May alone when no other district submitted one. Minutes show that Lodi is in a league of its own with conflicts of interest.

What is the Capizzi machine’s response to Lodi’s conflict problem?  They went out and recruited someone with the worst conflicts of interest for the vacant Board seat.  The person they recruited is married to a BOE employee in a six figure position whose office is just feet away from Quatrone and Capizzi.  The person they recruited never ran for the BOE or ever showed in interest in any matter before the BOE.

Where most see conflicts of interest as a bad thing, Quatrone and Capizzi are using it as a litmus test for selecting the next Board member.  They want complete control over all Board members when Board members are supposed to be their bosses.  There is no better control than to have someone with a spouse employed by the BOE in a six figure position.
