Once again, Marc Capizzi is not forthcoming about legal bills…

Link to article on northjersey.com:

“However, the district spent most of its legal budget on another attorney because of "unforeseen insurance claims" related to ethics complaints and litigation, contract negotiations, and other general legal matters, according to Marc Capizzi, board administrator.”

There is no question that Quatrone and Capizzi unnecessarily ran up legal costs.  Both were completely reckless and irresponsible with taxpayer money.

Marc Capizzi and Frank Quatrone tried to get Alisa DiChiara as much as they could on her way out.  They were all being spiteful and defiant after the OFAC report.  Both DiChiara and Sciarrillo were billing for many of the same items.

Capizzi and Quatrone were running up large bills for basic research and review of information that was readily available to the public.  One of many examples:  large bills were submitted by Ms. Dichiara to review the school nurses’ contract.  When I asked what those bills were about, Quatrone said DiChiara was researching to see how many Certified School Nurses are required for the district as opposed to Registered nurses.  When I asked two administrators in other districts that question, they knew the answer immediately.

Some of the largest bills were for “Innisfree litigation”.  I am not going to comment on all the problems I found with that billing and how everything was kept from the Board.

Quatrone was using Sciarrillo as his personal attorney for his own negotiations.  The research for Quatrone’s contract was never shared with Board members.  Over a year later, Quatrone still hasn’t produced that work even though multiple formal requests were submitted.

Sciarrillo submitted many bills because of a frivolous PERC complaint filed by Allyson Pontier and the NJEA.  Quatrone refuses to produce the work Sciarrillo did for that case.  Allyson Pontier is Frank Quatrone’s top “foot soldier”.

As for the ethics complaints, I respect the taxpayers of Lodi and didn’t use one taxpayer dollar on my defense for any of the three ethics complaints filed against me.  The same can’t be said for the unethical Board members hiring girlfriends and using Board attorneys for personal work (misappropriation of tax dollars).

I can assure the residents of Lodi that Marc Capizzi’s explanation in this article is complete BS.  I have the invoices to prove it.
