The Fort Lee teacher union should consult with the
Lodi politicians.
Like the LEA, Fort Lee should strive to create a 100%
conflicted Board. The more conflicts the better. Go low or go home!
That way, the union will never have to meet face to
face with non-conflicted Board members and negotiate like rational, civilized people. Why leave any semblance of objectivity?
Instead, the union leaders can negotiate with their
relatives- parents, spouses, etc. Maybe
at the dinner table.
The union can iron out all the details of its
contracts in the midst of elections, where tax dollars can be exchanged for
campaign support. A value can be placed
on the number of Facebook likes, the number of phone calls, the number of demonstrations
outside our schools, and types of endorsements.
That value can determine the percentage increase.
I am sure that is what every thriving community aims
for. Great message to send the youth.
