Did Frank Quatrone have an agreement in place when the
law changed on June 8, 2007 to pay him a specific amount beyond the $15,000 cap at any time of retirement? No!
Was any agreement memorialized in the 2012-2017
contract? No!
Closed session audio from the Spring of 2018 will show
Frank Quatrone stating that he could not produce that agreement.
Those questions are the issue at hand. State statutes provide the answer.
Corrupt board members with conflicts of interest
should not influence the payout.
Giacobbe attorneys that change their advice
based on who is approving their inflated bills should not influence the payout. Mark Wenzcel billed thousands of dollars to research something about volunteer wrestling coaches (not discussed with the board at the time of billing) and how to appoint members to Licata's advisory committee. Do you trust him to handle this serious matter? His outrageous billing for "research" gives the appearance that he is learning on the job.
Elections have consequences. However, robbing the taxpayers and violating
state statutes should not be one of those consequences.
