If the “machine” and the union leaders it controls
want to influence Lodi elections (while living outside of town) by propping up
the least fit candidates (that they will have complete control over),
they should choose candidates that can actually negotiate on behalf of their
special interest. Instead, they are
propping up the 3 candidates with the worst conflicts. Cardone, Scorzetti, and Leto can hardly participate in anything.
