Why didn’t Nora Peck stop the Lyndhurst project?

“Sivella, who spent $30,000 on the suit, said he did it to protect taxpayers' rights to question the governing body and the school board about the $50 million debt and the scope of the project.”

Multi-million dollar school projects are supposed to go to referendum.  People have the right to vote when money is borrowed for school projects.  When the process is circumvented, something is wrong.  It was wrong in Lodi.  It was wrong in Lyndhurst.

The project should never have gone as far as it did.  Where was the department of education?  Where was Nora Peck?  Why were there no checks and balance from the BOE or the commissioners?  Are they all puppets from the same political machine like you used to have here in Lodi?

It’s sad that a resident had to take it upon himself and spend $30,000 to stop the project.
