Despite the negativity, nastiness, and obstacles of some,
many positive things passed tonight.
1) We approved
the $7.5M question for this November’s ballot.
Lodi deserves the right to vote.
Yes- Mastrofilipo, Telep, Mara, Curioni
No- Nardino, Carafa, Miller
2) We added
two more meetings this summer to ensure that we are working on behalf of the
people of Lodi and not serving as rubber-stamps.
3) We have a
newly created personnel committee including myself, Trustee Mastrofilipo, and
Trustee Mara.

to videotape our public meetings.
4) We tabled voting on all legal bills until July 6th so the bills can be discussed.

5) Trustees Mastofilipo, Telep, and myself voted against
using “Doctrine of Necessity” to allow Mr. Quatrone to choose his own
negotiations committee- full of members with conflicts.
Although our vote didn’t stop the motion,
enough serious legal and ethical questions were raised to convince the board to
cancel negotiations for tonight.
