"The School Ethics Commission has ruled that it would be a violation of the School Ethics Act for board members who are endorsed by the local union to participate in current negotiations with that union"

Thomas Schram writes, “… and our contract are on the line in this election.”

This person doesn’t live in Lodi and he represents a special interest group.

The LEA under the leadership of Nancy Cardone’s sister-in-law made a FORMAL ENDORSEMENT of four BOE candidates. The LEA clearly asks district employees to show up at Nancy Cardone’s address on Saturday to work on her political campaign. The LEA is running the Cardone campaign.

Cardone and Salvacion couldn’t negotiate an LEA contract because they have family members in the unit.  The other two can’t negotiate because there was a formal endorsement and evidence that the LEA is running their political campaign.

This election isn’t about the LEA contact for the reasons just mentioned.

So what is this really about?  Fran Santos wants to be principal and other union officers want promotions and sidebar agreements for themselves. They want the rank and file teachers to do the dirty work for them.
