For a short time (very short time), Bob Marra
pretended to want to reform our Board of Education. And there was talk that the mayor and council
would punish him by not reappointing him to the Lodi Housing Authority.
Bob Marra quickly fell right back in line with the “machine”. And the mayor and council reappointed him to
the housing authority.
Votes on a board of education should not be dependent on which council
members call you the night before.
Votes on a board of education should not be dependent on how the
superintendent coaches you in a backroom in the middle of a public meeting.
This
is just another example of the Lodi Board of Education being run by the mayor
and council and a political machine.
Side note: How come this appointment never appeared on any agenda of the mayor and council? It must be with the "best practices" questionnaire.
