Why the 2 year seat belongs on the November ballot…

The seat has not been awarded to Al Mastrofilipo yet.  It has been vacant since January 4, 2017.  If Al doesn’t get the seat and someone else is appointed, that person cannot serve past the reorganization meeting (first week of January).

“If the vacancy occurred prior to the third Monday in July, serves only until the organizational meeting following the next election.  Remainder of term, if any, is filled at the next election.”

I find it interesting that Sciarrillo was paid thousands to take the position that Nora Peck should appoint someone to the seat (position taken without board approval).

The same people behind that action want to keep the seat off of the November ballot and are using “litigation” as the reason.

Al Mastrofilipo should have been awarded the seat.  But until that happens, the seat belongs on the November ballot.
