The estimated SCHOOL tax rate for 2019 is 1.962.
The SCHOOL tax rate for 2018 was 1.989.
The 2019 SCHOOL tax rate is lower than it was in
2013. In 2013, it was 2.015. Taxes were being raised at that time so the Lodi politicians could spend $8,000,000 on an unnecessary administration building for 20 something employees.
This is a complete reversal of what occurred when the
BOE was dominated by corrupt machine politicians. Lodi only saw skyrocketing taxes even when
the state gave millions more in school aid.
Spending on education has drastically increased in
recent years. At the same time, Lodi taxpayers saw some relief.
This is something to celebrate. It’s very sad that political hacks from
decades past continue to spew negativity and attempt to drag Lodi back to its darkest
days. Their vision has always been skyrocketing taxes, unchecked nepotism, rampant corruption, no transparency, and no accountability.
