Big conflict of interest!
Nobody can be objective when an immediate family is
collecting a six figure salary. Anyone
that says otherwise is lying. Our
current “Children First” board members clearly illustrate this problem. Frank Quatrone actually took Bob Marra in a backroom in the middle of a meeting to tell him how to vote. Bob Marra has the same conflict as this year's CF candidate.
Should board members be voting on their their spouses'
contracts? Should board members be
voting on their own benefits that they receive through their spouse’s coverage? Of course not.
Frank Quatrone wants a 100% conflicted board. Conflicted members will give him everything
he asks for- even illegal payouts and illegal contracts. Joe Capizzi wants a 100% conflicted
board. His corrupt political machine survives
on conflicts and control.
If Lodi votes the right way this November, it can have a board majority of non-conflicted members this January. That
means no more “doctrine of necessity” which is a form of legalizing corruption. That means independent thought and
objectivity. That means checks and
balance. That means real oversight. That means fiscal accountability and improved
education.
