There were many good applicants for the Lodi Borough
Manager position that live in Lodi. Many
had strong backgrounds with relevant work experience. Many volunteer in the community. Many had good ideas to move Lodi forward.
Not one Lodi resident was even called for an
interview. Only three out of towners were
called in for interviews.
I understand that Vinny Caruso had the inside track
because he is such close friends with Vinny Martin and Albert DiChiara. He was also a loyal soldier of Joe Capizzi for
years. That has been a requirement for Borough employment.
Still, it was very disrespectful and insulting to not
even call the Lodi residents with the right backgrounds in for an interview.
This further shows how the Lodi Mayor and Council view
Lodi residents. Their choice of Vinny Caruso was predetermined and strictly political.
