Dominic Miller made the motion to get Licata an attorney.

Dominic Miller couldn’t have a bigger conflict of interest.

Dominic Miller is well aware that the ethics complaint is centered on his two very close personal friends Jamie Ciofalo and Joe Licata.  He knows that it involves “Lodi Cares”.

The ethics complaint against Licata stated that money raised by Ciofalo at the Boys & Girls Club during school days was going to 42 Riverview Ave (Licata’s house) in the name of “Lodi Cares”.

Dominic Miller is the “Recording Secretary” for “Lodi Cares.” It’s shocking that he was the one that made the motion at a special meeting held on March 22, 2016 to get Licata an attorney.  Board members throughout the State answer ethics complaints without attorneys.

Dominic Miller involved himself in the matter again at the May 25, 2016 regular meeting.  He voted to use $3,403.14 of your tax dollars to pay Licata’s attorney.  Board members throughout the State answer ethics complaints without using tax dollars.

Dominic Miller should never have been allowed to vote on anything regarding the ethics complaint.  “Lodi Cares” is an obvious reason.

Another is the fact that Miller is such close personal friends with both Ciofalo and Licata.

Miller is so close with Ciofalo that Ciofalo’s son was in his wedding party.  Miller is so close with Ciofalo that his wife was hired by the BOE a few years ago to be Ciofalo’s secretary in the Guidance Department.  Licata voted on that appointment.

Very unethical all the way around.

Side Note:  Nick  Vara seconded the motion at the special meeting on March 22, 2016.  He doesn't attend regular meetings but he attended a special meeting to get Licata an attorney.  Shows where his priorties are.
