From the article:

“Sweetwater will become the second district in the county and one of fewer than 50 school districts and charter schools statewide to be audited by the state fiscal team in the past 11 years, according to the agency’s website.

The only other time the county education office has arranged for such a state audit was last November for the San Ysidro School District. The audit was published in June and found that two former district administrators overpaid themselves a total of $300,000.”

How often do district administrators overpay themselves and get away with it?
