“State weighs in on Lodi superintendent contract dispute”

Link to article by Kristi Cattafi:

In case anyone is confused:

1)     Mr. Quatrone’s contract was supposed to be negotiated in June.

2)     Mr. Quatrone and Ms. DiChiara tried to change the rules so that Mr. Quatrone can choose his own negotiations committee.

3)     In the past, Mr. Quatrone and Ms. DiChiara had only one Board member on a negotiations committee.  There were advisory opinions against one member.  There were NOT advisory opinions against two members.

4)     Dominic Miller always had a conflict of interest.  It just wasn’t written on our “Doctrine of Necessity” until recently.  He didn’t take a high road by recusing himself.  His conflict always was the superintendent’s brother is the chief of police.

5)     Quatrone’s four candidates that appear to have been elected on Tuesday all have serious conflicts of interest.  This was intentional.  Mr. Quatrone tried to buy 7 months so he can choose who negotiates his new salary.

6)     My “conflict of interest” is not like the others.  I have an aunt working in the schools.  I have not spoken to her in years and had nothing to do with her employment.  I can objectively serve the community.  I am not compromised like the others.

7)  The advisory opinion from the State  was released long before the election.  Voters had the right to know what was at stake during that election regarding conflicts of interest and negotiations.  For whatever reason, the papers chose to hold off the story.
