In one election alone, Marc Schrieks and his corrupt
machine spent over $142,000 to get elected.
Here are just a few of the contributions and contributors listed on Schrieks' 2007
campaign reports:
This
absurd amount of money resulted in corruption, pay-to-play abuses, and special
treatment for wealthy developers.
In 2011, the public saw that everyone that contributed
to Schrieks in May received a NO BID contract in July.
The “machine” realized that the people of Lodi were on
to their pay-to-play abuses. They
responded accordingly. Their treasurer
omitted contributor names in 2015. Many
large reportable contributions were clumped together in a category “300 OR LESS”
so names would not be listed.
In 2016, their treasurer did not list contributors
(except the Lodi mayor and council) or expenditures. In 2017, no contributions or contributors have
yet to be reported.
