Three years later, the Lodi council finally listened to me.

For three years, I have been asking the mayor and council to pass an ordinance prohibiting health benefits for part-time elected officials.  I did so after seeing their dishonest answers on the State’s “Best Practices” questionnaire.  They violated their own Resolution from 2010.

For three years, the Lodi politicians said the ordinance wasn’t necessary and they wouldn’t consider it.

Three weeks before an election, they changed their tune.
