Does the public feel comfortable with the process?

The Middle School Vice Principal position was advertised in the Record on September 3rd (Labor Day Weekend).  Within 5 days, the Superintendent recommended someone for the position and placed it on an agenda for a special meeting.  The special meeting was called to discuss noncompliance with legal services.

How can you conduct a thorough hiring process in only 5 days? People are probably still submitting resumes.

Is the public OK with this?
