Lodi Update: one week after I filed a “request for investigation”…

On May 24th, I put up the following post:

On June 2nd, the "United" campaign cut a check (#118) to Alpha Dog Solutions.  Tony Luna stated at the May council meeting that he directed Alpha to mail out the “Lodi Update” on behalf of the Borough.

At the May council meeting, Luna, Masopust, and Spiniello refused to reimburse the Lodi taxpayers or even look into the matter unless a complaint was filed. (Conveniently for them, the minutes for that meeting never went up on the Borough website.)

I called their bluff.  A week after I submitted a complaint, it looks like they folded.

They abuse their public office and misappropriate Lodi tax dollars.

Their campaign report shows that they collected and dispersed $38,550.  I kept my campaign within $1,000 and refused all campaign contributions from others.  Were they so desperate and scared that they had to use Lodi tax dollars on their campaign flier, the “Lodi Update”?

They had no accomplishments to run on and any campaign flier of theirs would be laughed at.  So they used an official Borough header and mailing label to lend credibility to their self-promotion.

Link to the "United" June 30, 2015 report that went up on-line today:

The Lodi politicians can no longer plead their ignorance of the law in future elections.
