The following was printed in the Record newspaper:
“In the coming weeks, the council
will begin looking for new police leadership, and terms of a potential contract
are to be discussed next week, Schrieks said, possibly setting limits on the size and type of payout
that chief can collect.
“Nothing is off the table,” the mayor said.”
Just this past February, this
council gave the Deputy Chief a contract identical to the Chief’s.
Let’s see how his contract changes
when he becomes Chief on July 1st. Let’s see what “reforms” take
place. Let's see what was actually on the table.
It’s time for Schrieks to put up or
shut up.
