Schrieks made Caruso chief and approved every contract during his 15 long, long, long years on the council.
Now Schrieks and the
council will borrow money to pay for something they knew they could never afford
in the first place. So the taxpayers
of Lodi will not only be paying for this outrageous payout itself, they will
also be paying the interest on it for years to come. So that $342,381 just grew larger.
Once again, the courts
didn’t decide these contracts. They were
not decided through arbitration. No State
Legislature decided these contracts.
Marc and the councils he served with are 100% responsible.
