Teacher union dues are used to support political candidates even when a large percentage of teachers oppose those candidates …

In response to my post yesterday, the LEA chose to write about NJEA PAC money.  They continue to dodge and deflect its use of teacher union dues to support political candidates.

PAC money goes directly into the campaign accounts of political candidates.

Teacher union dues are also used to support political candidates.  Instead of funneling money directly into the candidate’s campaign accounts, the NJEA runs its own campaign for the candidates they support.

For example, when a school employee receives multiple mailers from the NJEA listing endorsements, that’s teacher union dues at work.  Is there really a difference if NJEA PAC money goes directly into a candidate’s campaign account or if the NJEA uses teacher union dues to run its own campaign on behalf of the candidate?   That's called semantics.

The NJEA will not disclose its expenditures to its own members.  That should tell you everything.

Please read page 6 in the link below to see that Debra Kwapniewski and Gail Oxfeld refuse to disclose how much teacher union dues they are spending on themselves:

Attorneys have estimated that the NJEA has spent TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS (in excess of $50,000) of teacher union dues to file frivolous complaints attacking my free speech and right to post on this blog.

The abusive NJEA continues to operate in complete secrecy.  Everything they do is political in nature.
