Once again, this a direct result of nepotism and corruption.

You can see all the relatives of Garfield BOE members in six figure positions to realize that they never had the community’s best interest at heart.

Too often, greedy politicians take over city school boards and use their budgets as personal piggy banks.

Blame has to lie with the State of New Jersey and Department of Education for not providing the much needed oversight. Even when the State appoints a monitor, they often turn out as bad as the local politicians.  Look at Paterson.  How many questionable contracts did their State appointed superintendent hand out to friends?  How many unnecessary six figure positions did he create?  What are the results?

Lodi would have followed the Garfield path if the voters didn’t opt for change in November.  Concerned residents of Lodi weren't getting any help from Nora Peck, Governor Christie, or anyone else in Trenton. How can the State give Lodi $14.5M in aid and not care that $8M local tax dollars were going to be spent needlessly on an administration building for 24 employees?

Consider this state aid for 2016-2017:
