Dear Mrs. Licata,
In the early nineties, a “Meet the Candidates Night” would be held in a Lodi school prior to a Board of Education election. It gave the community an opportunity to see all candidates at once and hear their reasons for running.
Many have suggested that these forums be brought back and hosted by a local Parent Teacher Organization.
Being you are an executive member of the Wilson school PTO and a Lodi councilwoman, I am sure you would like to improve community engagement.
There are ten candidates running this year, a lot more than usual. It would benefit the school community to hear where each candidate stands on the important issues and challenges facing our schools.
Would you agree to have your PTO or multiple PTOs host a Meet the Candidates/Educational Forum/Debate?
