Behind the publics back, the Lodi BOE has been paying large sums of money in “separation of service agreements”.

Another “separation of service agreement” was approved at the August 31st meeting.  This has been one of many approved behind the public’s back.  I had to submit an OPRA request.

The Lodi taxpayers are spending hundreds of thousands on outside legal costs and payouts to departing employees.

When the Lodi BOE approves these payments, it gives the appearance of wrongdoing on its part.  If an employee was at fault, they should not be receiving a payment.  It has become easier to remove tenured teachers.

Is the BOE mistreating employees and then having to pay for it?  What is their explanation?

This pattern is not normal.

And have you ever seen anything so redacted?
