Tonight’s school board meeting:

1)    The board went into closed session at 7:30 to interview four candidates for Joe Licata’s seat.   Mr. Reilly may have withdrawn his name.

2)    Only five board members were present for the public meeting:  Mr. Carbonetti, Mr. Mara, Mr. Miller, Mr. Nardino, and Mr. Telep.

3)    It was very disappointing to hear Mike Nardino still arguing for the $7.5 million administration building.  All of Lodi is against it.  The voters sent a strong message two weeks ago.  The bids for the demolition have not been opened yet.  The project can be stopped.  Nardino continues to be part of the problem and not the solution.

Nardino clearly had his mind made up on day one with the building.  Nardino was one of four members on Joe Licata’s secret subcommittee that was supposed to study the issue.  Nardino provided no transparency on the matter.  Nardino offered no alternatives.  Nardino has not answered any of the questions asked over the last year.

When you see Mike Nardino, tell him to stop the project now.  I have pages of questions I want answered by his subcommittee.   I plan on spending a lot of time questioning his subcommittee when I join the Board in January.

Just a reminder, Nardino’s subcommittee was never listed on any meeting agenda or minutes.  There were no meeting dates, locations, or times for the subcommittee on any meeting agenda or minutes.  I had to fill out an OPRA request to obtain the following email that showed the subcommittee existed.
