2013 Tables: Lodi Stands out Amongst Its Neighbors

The numbers speak for themselves.  Lodi should have been reassessed.  George Reggo and the ENTIRE administration have been dishonest about Lodi’s true valuation.  It’s certainly not 98%.

The county ordered Wood-Ridge to be re-valuated because they were clearly under-assessed.  Garfield, Hackensack, Hasbrouck Heights, Maywood, and Rochelle Park were all reassessed between 2010 and 2012.  Saddle Brook was reassessed in 2013.

Lodi stands alone.  Those that received a  “family and friends” tax reduction are paying too little and you are paying too much.

Below, you can compare Lodi’s average property tax bill to that of its neighbors.  With the exception of Garfield and Hackensack, all the other towns had a higher average sales price than Lodi for 2013 yet still pay a lot less in taxes.  Garfield's average residential sales price was right with Lodi's for 2013.
