A recent wireless phone bill shows that Marcel Wurms
used 1,976 text messages. This was far
more than anyone else on the long, long, long list of phone bills paid for by
the Lodi taxpayers.
Marcel Wurms is not a full time borough employee even though he collects six figures from the borough. He is not even the Emergency Management Coordinator. Why are the Lodi taxpayers paying his monthly
phone bill?
His phone usage strongly implies that he is using
his phone for personal use and for non-borough matters. When he uses his phone paid for with Lodi
taxpayers, his messages become part of the public record.
This administration should take his phone away
immediately and apologize to the taxpayers for its abuse of power and misuse
of tax dollars. Otherwise, they should
make all of Marcel Wurms texts available to the public. If they are doing nothing wrong, they should
have nothing to hide. Let the people paying
his bills decide whether or not he is entitled to one.
Despite what the Lodi politicians believe, they are
not entitled to have their cars, phones, food, and property taxes paid for with
tax dollars. They take enough from Lodi
to pay their own personal bills.
