Why does Joe Licata need an attorney to answer an ethics complaint?

Why couldn’t Joe Licata provide an answer to the School Ethics Commission without an attorney?

Why would Joe Licata need additional time for his answer?   The same questions appeared on this website for years.  The questions were already asked directly to him at Board meetings.  If he had answered the simple, straightforward questions when asked, a complaint would not have been filed.

If he cannot provide an answer after all this time, there is a serious problem.

One thing Lodi has learned about the Licatas over the years is that they pay for nothing out of pocket.  Tax dollars better not be spent on his legal representation.  The issue involves him personally and not the Lodi schools.

A person not guilty of ethics violations would be comfortable providing an answer on their own.
