Two Engineers Instead of One…The Art of Buying Off Lodi Politicians

2014 Monthly Bills:

In 2014 alone (November and December bills not even included),

The Lodi taxpayers paid Neglia Engineering $ 127, 855. 93

The Lodi taxpayers paid Maser Consulting $ 85, 891. 66

All bills can be found on:

Campaign Contributions:

Last election cycle, Neglia contributed $ 7,500 to the Lodi politicians.

Last election cycle, Maser contributed $ 5,000 to the Lodi politicians.

“Donations”:

Neglia “donates” high priced NFL tickets to beefsteaks run by the Lodi politicians.

Maser “donates” to those same causes.

Both are praised and acknowledged by the Lodi politicians for their generous donations.

Their “generosity” began when they began receiving NO BID contracts from Lodi.

What isn’t known yet?

What is the extent of the gifts received by the Lodi politicians in return for awarding the NO BID contracts?

Someone other than myself posted the following article and asked the question:  who from Lodi attended?  The post was removed every time.  Why did that post strike a nerve?

No justification for two Borough Engineers:

Despite not being reflected on the published meeting meetings, I questioned the council in 2012 after I noticed that they awarded a second NO BID contract for Borough Engineer.  I asked why Lodi would be paying both Neglia and Maser when Lodi always only had one firm.

It was clear at the time that the Council had no answer.  Marc Schrieks eventually made up a story, saying that Maser would only be working on issues with the parks.  He couldn’t explain why Neglia could no longer provide the work for the parks.

It turned out that Marc was not honest.  You can see on the March bills alone that Maser is submitting a whole bunch of bills for work having nothing to do with parks.

What’s it called when a politician receives something in return for delivering NO BID contracts paid for with tax dollars?
