Can Gary Paparozzi be trusted to be Lodi’s “Planner”?

2006 wasn’t an election year.  In fact, March 2006 was more than a year before Gary Paparozzi’s last election.

But that didn’t stop Gary Paparozzi (Lodi’s Mayor at the time) from soliciting and receiving large sums of money from those doing business before him and the Borough.

Shoprite was in the process of building on Main Street that year.  Paparozzi took $1000 from “Inserra Supermarkets”.  Paparozzi took $1500 from Doug Kanter who was the Main Street developer.

This one report showed an astonishing amount of money coming in from out of towners that were doing business with Lodi.

Contributor names were misspelled or omitted in many cases. Occupations and employer names were also missing.  All are required.

Some politicians are only influenced by money and have no ethical standards.

2006 has come and gone.  All that money did very little for Paparozzi who was thrown out of office in 2007.  But that money does raise the question today:  can Gary Paparozzi be trusted to be Lodi’s “Planner”?
