There are five seats up on November 7th. There are 4 members not up for
re-election. I am the only independent,
anti-machine member not up for re-election.
I fought against the scam before I joined the Board and then voted to
stop it once I was sworn in. The other 3 members not up for re-election are all “machine”
members that voted over and over again for the $7.5M scam. Those members are Dominick Miller, Phil Carbonetti, and Mike Nardino.
If the “machine” has 5 votes after November, the
building will go up. Lodi taxes will soar. And some people will probably be getting
kickbacks. The “machine” only needs two
votes.
If independent, reform minded members fill five seats, the scam can be taken off the table. The people of Lodi need to win at least 4 seats in November to stop the scam.
The following ten candidates expressed where they stand on the issue (click on the links below to view answers):
Donald Scorzetti and Nancy Cardone
demonstrated they are in full support of the scam.
Joe Leto has proven to be a “machine” puppet that will go along with anything
no matter what the cost to Lodi.
I am
awaiting answers from candidates Joseph Bigica, Jason Jacoby, Sharon Salvacion,
and Robert Marra.
