Don’t be fooled by the LEA’s self-serving
endorsements. They are all about politics, not education. I warned everyone about
them months ago:
Under the leadership of Debra Kwapniewski, the LEA is
trying to get a 100% conflicted board.
This way, the Board can invoke
"doctrine of necessity" so board members can negotiate the contracts of their
spouses, children, and every other relative they have employed in our schools.
Students will have no representation. Their parents will have no representation. Taxpayers will have no representation. Non-connected employees will have no
representation.
How
are the union's actions any different than bribery and extortion? They are buying off politicians with campaign
resources and receiving a monetary benefit in return. They are going after elected officials with
full force if those officials don’t give into every demand.
The LEA is fighting to keep all non-conflicted
candidates off the Board. There are some
non-conflicted candidates with higher IQs than the 3 machine candidates
combined.
This is an assault on our democratic system. Lodi must see it for what it is and fight
to stop it.
