The union leaders want a one-sided conversation where
they ask people to say “give them a contract” and “settle now” without stating
what they are actually looking for. They must be more specific and clear.
The union did not want to settle for a 2.6% increase
which was higher than their last contract.
They voted that down before I joined the Board.
I am not on negotiations. I can only imagine what they are looking
for. The public has no idea what they
are looking for.
Cardone, Leto, and Scorzettti all have
conflicts of interest in which they cannot negotiate teacher contracts. Yet, they are running a one issue campaign in
which they are making promises to the union in exchange for votes. What are they promising? What is the percentage? The public has the right to know.
Promising other people’s money in exchange for votes
is bribery. That is no way to run a
district!
