Is the $600,000 Accounted For?

From the “Shared Services Agreement”:

From the Borough’s “Bond Ordinance”:

The project was good for the students, athletic programs, and the community.

But the process behind it should concern everyone.

Two years later, the public should be asking themselves the following questions:

1)      Why did the Lodi Mayor and Council borrow $2,000,000 (before the project began) when it “shall not exceed $1,400,000?”

2)      Why didn’t the “Agreement” specifically state the Borough’s interest in financing a project that is almost exclusively for the BOE?

3)      Why didn’t the “Agreement” clearly define the amount to be paid by each party and the BOE's payment schedule?

4)      Why should Lodi BOE be exempt from the referendum process?
