I challenge the two union bosses to a debate.

I would like to debate Allison Desomma Pontier and Debra Defalco Kwapniewski.

Lodi deserves the truth.

While they are representing the special interests of only those that pay union dues (and mostly don’t live in Lodi), I represent the interests of everyone in Lodi- students, taxpayers, and employees.

While they stage union theater in a room full of out of towners, I advocate public access for everyone.  It’s time to tape public meetings!

They have juvenile picket signs.  I have the facts.

They play the victim.  They victimize your children by using them as a bargaining chip.

They attack and then turn their backs.  I welcome opposing points of view.

Let’s debate ways to improve academic standing, the abuse and misuse of union dues, and ways to keep politics out of our schools.  Let’s debate the union’s behavior during contract negotiations and who’s really at fault for not having a new contract.

Assessment reports show Washington school performing below other Lodi elementary schools.  Let's figure out if it has to do with too much politics and union activities taking place during the school day.  The mayor of Lodi is the prinicipal there.  Did you see his disgraceful and divisive behavior at the last board meeting?  You don't get that from principals in other districts.  Washington school also has the most union leaders/bullies and activists employed there.  Are these contributing factors?  You decide.
