When I was running for the Board, I spent a lot of
time researching salaries of Business Administrators/Board Secretaries
throughout New Jersey. Marc Capizzi had
one of the highest salaries and did so with only four years’ experience.
The current superintendent cap for Lodi is $167,500. Why would the Board pay any employee with
only four years’ experience more than what the superintendent is capped?
A 2% annual raise on an off the charts salary shouldn’t
be a given.
I was never asked if I was interested in being on the negotiations team. I was never even informed that there was one until after they were finished.
