Too much politics and union activity at Washington School.

You leave elementary school in the 5th grade.  So let’s look at 5th grade PARCC results for 2016.  Students in Levels 1, 2, and 3 did NOT meet expectations (in other words, not passing the test).

Level 1: Not Yet Meeting Requirements
Level 2: Partially Meeting
Level 3: Approaching Expectations
Level 4: Meeting Expectations
Level 5: Exceeding Expectations

You can verify these figures using the tool from the article below:

Washington’s Emil Carafa and Debra Kwapniewski spent their time at  Wednesday’s meeting talking about a blog.
At our next meeting, I expect them to answer for the results posted above.

If Debra Kwapniewski wants get paid $200,000 (would that figure make her happy?) to teach pre-k, she needs to spend more time on education and less on union activism.

Mayor Carafa might need to take off his mayor’s hat and starting wearing his principal hat.
