I had requested to see the minutes to the “closed
sessions” for the 2014-15 calendar years.
Today, I received those minutes:
Here are a few takeaways:
1) Board members with immediate
family members (whether or not they live within their household) cannot take
part in the Superintendent’s evaluation.
Even if that immediate family member is not living in their household, advisory
opinions define them as “relatives” with conflicts of interest. And they still can’t vote or take part.
Just look at “Board Member B” in this advisory opinion:
Look at the other advisory opinions:
But Lodi ignored all those opinions.
Take Nancy Cardone as an example. Her son is a principal that answers to the
Superintendent. Yet, she never recused
herself. How can she evaluate her son’s
boss? She wasn’t the only one. These are clear ethics violations.
2) The board was NOT successful with either of its tenure charges. In fact, they paid a lot of money (Lodi tax dollars) to the teachers. They also provided them with good references as part of the “separation agreements”.
3) The Board decided to plot
against the valedictorian during a closed session. I never commented on the valedictorian situation
while it was taking place because I would never want to defend someone that did
something wrong. However, many school
employees and honors students have provided me with information in defense of
the valedictorian since then. It appears that Licata, Ciofalo,
and their mindless followers are a bunch of vindictive bullies that picked on a
student. People wanted to hear a
speech from someone going to Harvard.
Instead they heard Joe Licata give the same speech (how many years now?)
about how important and successful he is.
Did you know he went to Seton Hall?
Who needs Harvard when you have Joe Capizzi and Tony Luna making you
Lodi’s biggest handout family?
